Founded by bestselling writers Cavan Scott and George Mann, Strange Matter Media is a creative studio dedicated to the best in genre storytelling in film, television, audio drama and transmedia.
Collectively, Scott and Mann have worked on world-renowned properties such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Pacific Rim, Dragon Age, Carnival Row, Doctor Who, Assassin’s Creed and Sherlock Holmes.
Individually, they have created the popular series Newbury and Hobbes, Ghosts of Manhattan, Wychwood, Engineward, Shadow Service, The Ward, Dead Seas and Sleep Terrors, several of which are currently in development for screen. Scott is a story architect on Lucasfilm’s New York Times Bestselling cross-platform initiative, Star Wars: The High Republic, while Mann is the lead writer of several genre animated series currently in production.
Together, Scott and Mann have written Sherlock Holmes: The Voice of Treason and The Hound of the Baskervilles, full-cast dramas for Amazon Audible, created a range of enhanced Doctor Who audiobooks for BBC Studios and were lead writers on two major Doctor Who comic books events published by Titan Comics.
Through Strange Matter Media, they are currently developing a slate of original genre properties for TV and film including Blood of Camelot, War Dolls and The Grindylow.
